If you are having trouble downloading a book it might be because it is in epub format not PDF. I've had people using edge browser have problems with epub books. You should really download calibre ebook management open source software to organize your books anyway. It's a great software and you can add a tool into it that removes the copy protection from any book you borrow from local library or archive org. The software is open source and free.
