I don't believe in thought crime.
I am afraid of ideologues. Dogmas are what prevent us from being who we can be. It prevent us from being who we can be.
Knowing shows foolishness. Asking demonstrates the understanding that our reality is more complex than we can understand.
Things are not right because they make you feel good.
Things are not wrong because they make you feel bad.
There is no such thing as your truth, it is called an opinion.
Truth is incomprehensible to all of us because we are limited.
That doesn't mean that we cannot do anything to have a little better understanding of it.
...And understanding it better is a matter of survival.
Those who agree with you are stroking your ego, but they are not helping you to understand reality better.
Whoever disagrees allows the clash of ideas to take place...
...and negotiation is always better than a fight.
Facing discomfort is necessary.
There is no evolution without change. There is no change without discomfort. Nobody likes discomfort.
Most people have good intentions.
No one can have a complete understanding. People with bad intentions use this fact and collect the power from the poorly informed for their interests.
The only defence we have is to talk. It is to bring the exploration of reality to a very deep personal level.
Make sure you know the best argument from the people that disagree with you. Make sure you know the people that you consider "your enemy". They are not. You are the one that never made the effort to understand their perspective.
This channel is a space to put divergent ideas. Here we can discuss them seeking to reduce the darkness of ignorance in each of us.
The only way to dismiss prejudice is to know the people behing the caricature.
