Today's Topic: Drobo Storage Arrays allow you to easily maintain and grow your data storage using BeyondRAID. This technology acts as a type of automatic RAID. You don't have to manually do anything other than swap out a drive if there is a failure, and if you want to grow your storage array you simply pull out the smaller drive and plug in a bigger one. With the built in Thin Provisioning you don't even have to worry about resizing partitions.

Array speed with our tests with 4 7200 RPM drives came in around 200MB/s for Read and Write which should be fine for most applications. Additionally for more expensive units you can add mSATA SSD as a cache to dramatically improve throughput of files you are actively working on.
