Just a simple 6 step fast guide that you can do in 10 minutes (then gameplay) to reduce input lag to a level that's nearly completely negligible and consistent from BOOT TO BOOT -- and finally start clicking heads in OSU, Touhou, Valorant, CS:GO, Tarkov, Rust, Fortnite, and all else. (Also I meant to say use USB 3.2 if you have 10th gen and above) or just USB 2 if below that on Ryzen systems -- use external USB cards on the CPU PCIE lanes if you're on Ryzen since the onboard ones are absolutely garbage.

  • LEAVE AMD PSP ON DEFAULT AS IS. DO NOT CHANGE THE PRIORITY OR MSI MODE
  • DO NOT CHANGE INTEL MANAGEMENT ENGINE INTERFACE PRIORITY (MSI OFF IS FINE)
  • DO NOT CHANGE DRIVE MODE IF YOU HAVE A RAID ARRAY UNTIL YOU HAVE BACKED UP YOUR DATA. IT COULD BRICK AND REQUIRE SAFE MODE UNINSTALL OF THE DRIVER.
  • DO NOT CHANGE PRIORITY OR MODES OF PCI, PCIE, Lanes, Hubs, Ports, Busses, and Root Ports.

The only requirement is that your PC is stable to begin with. If you don't know how to overclock, I have a tutorial on how to overclock Ryzen, and another one on how to overclock intel 12th gen and 13th gen by proxy. Reseat your ram 5 times before attempting this, and reseat your CPU if you feel like you have any instability or abnormally high lag before and after this tutorial. You might need a water cooler for anything above 6 cores past 4.1GHz. Decent thermal paste does certainly help also. If you're overclocking reduce your speed of the cache OC and the core OC by about 0.1-0.2 if it stil feels funky.

XMP is not needed. 2133MHz and 1333Mhz ram actually runs incredibly snappy. You can also leave the ram set to timing mode 2T.

  • HPET Disabled
  • Game mode and GPU scheduling enabled. Resize bar can be enabled too, not that big of an effect
  • All drivers EXCEPT AMD PSP and PCIE ROOT PORTS/BRIDGES AND HUBS Linebased Mode, GPU and USB prio High, Ethernet/Wifi Prio LOW
  • OC your VRAM if its safe to
  • Disable ALL Windows Updates
  • Cap your FPS to your monitor's refresh rate if you can
