Wilhelm Lyons - Through Transient And Permanent (Full Album)

Since 2022 will be the year I'll make my last huge projects related to The Caretaker, I decided to cover one of the themes that I haven't covered before - Amnesia. But not in a traditional Caretaker's sense.

The Caretaker's albums related to amnesia are usually overlooked, probably because their style is quite different and less interesting than in his later works.

Even though I took a bit of initial inspiration from them, "Through Transient And Permanent" takes a different approach at showing various types of amnesia and related states of mood and mind. Cheerful melodies can be washed away by dream state ambience, only to later be interrupted by yet another old ballroom tune. This variety in style is not only to make soundscape more interesting, but also to show that amnesia can take different forms. Or to show some kind of amnesiac character's timeline/memories. That's, as always, for your interpretation.

"Through Transient And Permanent" finds use for my old unfinished audio works, uses unused artworks, and just allows me to finally complete projects that I started long ago. Now I can finally forget about them in a sort of blissful artistic amnesia for myself.
