Rolling Tool Stand (for my Drum Sander)

Sure my SuperMax drum sander came with a cart but it was never "right", today I am making a Rolling Tool Stand for the drum sander that is designed to allow the infeed and outfeed tables to fold flat against the stand allowing the entire cart to roll up against the wall and use less space than the provided stand. AND there is a bunch of useful storage shelves and a drawer to hold all your extra sand paper rolls, paper cleaner and any other stuff you need to throw in there!

The stand can be made from one sheet of 3/4" plywood but you will need some scraps if you want to add the drawer, try as I might I was not able to fit those parts into the 4x8 sheet of plywood. You will obviously need a set of castors, I used the set that was on the original drum sander stand and if you add the drawer you will need a pair of drawer slides.

The stand turned out very stable and rolls like a dream. Most important it slides up against the wall more snugly than the original stand saving me precious shop floor space and adding TONS of storage under the drum sander, all space that was wasted under the original stand.
