Is the X-Carve worth it?

Several months ago Inventables reached out to me to see if I would be interested in a X-Carve in exchange for my feedback on the machine. If it's worth it or not is your call but here are some of my thoughts to possibly help you make the decision.

Pros: Potential to be very accurate Opens up a new dimension to making/woodworking Allows me to complete other tasks In expensive compared to other CNC machines 3d carving is possible

Cons: Super accurate seems a little hard to achieve Not super sturdy Huge footprint (for the 1000x1000 anyway) Takes a good deal of time to draw things that it will cut
