Gas has a weird disgusting smell. But in reality it is actually odorless so what makes it smell like that? In todays video I will show you how to make one of the chemicals that is commonly used to odourize gas to prevent accidents by making methanethiol (methylmercaptan) from methyl iodide and thiourea.
