This is Part two of a 5-part series which takes you through the complete installation process of the Debian Linux operating system with full-disk encryption. We also place the boot partition on an external USB flash drive. The focus will be on privacy and anonymity.
Part two focuses on partitioning the drives and setting up the encrypted internal solid-state drive (SSD).
After formatting the encrypted internal drive, we will set up the logical volume manager.
- We create a volume group and name it “debian-vg”
- Create a logical volume called “root”
- Create a second logical volume called “swap1”
