Terraform vs OpenTF - Is Terraform dead?

It's been a week or so now since the OpenTF Foundation came to the scene and announced their plan to open-source Terraform back under the MPL and maintain a separate fork of it... but how does this effect us as every day DevOps Engineers? It doesn't. Just keep using Terraform for now and switch to OpenTF if the feature set is better.
