The RovyVon Commander C10 Pen is a bolt action pen, made from solid titanium and takes a standard Parker refill. This means you can also use Fisher space pen refills also with the plastic cap you get with the refills.

This is sometimes marketed as a Tactical Pen. I am not a fan of that moniker because it makes it sound like a weapon rather than a pen. This is a pen, first and foremost. The fact that it is made from solid metal does mean it could be used for defensive purposes but, to remind you, if you live in the UK carrying any item for the purpose of self defence is illegal. You could choke someone with a jab from your smartphone but if you carry a smartphone for this purpose then that is illegal. Crazy, I know. It's less about what you have on you and more about why do you have it on you.

This has a nice smooth ceramic ball glass breaker which can be used in an emergency to help you exit a vehicle during an accident or perhaps a shop if there is a fire, by striking the glass hard with the end of the pen. The fact that this glass breaker is a smooth ceramic ball, makes it a classy non-threatening pen. It is a pleasure to write with.

The bolt action is nice and with a few mins of flicking it back and forth, as with any bolt action pen, makes it even smoother as time goes on. It is not a highly sprung bolt, so it is very gentle on your thumb.

I like nice pens with substance and this is a very nice pen which is lightweight, decently sized for EDC and it really is best suited for a sturdy, high quality EDC pen.

This is my favourite high quality pen and comes in a really nice presentation box which is waterproof and can be reused to store items in.
