Harmony OS is more than an Android Clone!?

Is Harmony OS just an Android Clone like so many claim? Or is it something more? I dig a bit deeper into the developments done by Huawei and look into OpenHarmony and other projects.

What do you think about Harmony OS? Is this the right way for Huawei to go? Can you think of an alternative way that Huawei could go?
