My YouTube channel almost got hacked by a sponsor!

My YouTube channel was almost taken over by a hacker who approached me as a vpn company with a sponsorship proposal.

This was a very well executed social engineering attack, but I was glad that I didn't fall for it, and nothing bad happened. But if this were to happen to a non-technical creator (or any technically illiterate person in general), they would've probably fallen for it.

I've heard news that several YouTube accounts are already being hacked recently, I guess these were all a team of scammers who are targeting creators and taking over their youtube accounts.

If you're a youtube creator too, please be aware of such scams!
