Why are companies moving towards cloud computing? Cost saving: The most important thing for any company is to save costs. And this is possible with cloud computing. Because with cloud computing, companies do not need to setup their own data centres with their own real hardware, instead, they can just create computer resources of whatever the configuration they like, on the cloud and they can keep scaling as required.

Data security: Cloud computing also provides data security, because, when you are using a cloud service, for example aws, what you are also subscribing to is the amazing security that the cloud provider offers. So you wouldn't have to worry about basic security features that you want to have on your applications, because they are already provided by AWS.

Data insights: You also have access to various data insights and analytics so that you can actually monitor how your resources are performing on the cloud.

Data recovery and backups: When you are using cloud services, your data can actually be stored in multiple locations instead of just in one location. So for example, let's say you have lost your data due to some techincal error, but that doesn't mean that your data is lost forever, because you can always recover it from the backups stored in multiple other locations.

Easy to scale: And then, as already discussed, it's very easy to scale your company's infrastructure with cloud computing, because you can just keep adding more resources that are required at that particular moment of time.

Time saving: And all of this also saves a lot of time for the company because they literally don't have to worry about the hardware because it is all well maintained by the cloud provider
