Want to set up your voicemail on iPhone but not sure how? We’re here to help. Watch this video to learn how to set up your voicemail inbox on iPhone.
To set up voicemail on your iPhone, tap Phone on your main screen. Tap Voicemail in the bottom menu. Then tap Set Up Now. If prompted, create a passcode for your voicemail. Now you can set up your voicemail greeting message. You can use the default greeting or tap Custom to record your own. Finally, tap Save to set your outgoing voicemail message. You can change your outgoing message at any time by tapping Greeting in the top right corner.
To test that your voicemail greeting and inbox have been set up properly, you can try calling your own phone number from a friend or family member’s phone to see what it sounds like. Remember that you can go back and change your greeting at any time by tapping Greeting at the top.
Note that these steps are only applicable for visual voicemail service on iPhone. If you only have traditional voicemail service, you will see a Call Voicemail button instead of this screen layout. If this is the case, tap Call Voicemail to call into your carrier’s voicemail system, and follow the audio prompts to set up your voicemail greeting. If you’d like to switch to visual voicemail, ask your mobile service provider about adding it to your plan.
