How to Change YouTube Channel Name on PC or Mac 2024

To change the name of your YouTube channel, open your preferred web browser and go to YouTube.com. Sign into your account if you haven’t already. Click your profile icon in the top right corner. Then select YouTube Studio. On the left, click Customization. Then select Basic Info. At the top, you’ll see your current channel name. Erase the current name and type in the name you’d like to change to. Your channel name is not required to be unique so you can set it to whatever you like. If you want, you can also change your handle here. Handles must be unique so you cannot use a handle that is already in use by another channel. When you’re finished, click Publish to save your changes. If your channel was previously verified, changing your channel name will remove your verification badge. You will need to re-apply for verification after changing the channel name.
