How to extract video files from iMovie Theater on a Mac without opening iMovie
Still As Life
Alright, so you've got a whole stack of video files in iMovie Theatre, but there is a problem. You can't open iMovie. Or perhaps you have moved your theatre file and your videos aren't displaying in iMovie anymore. Whatever the reason, sometimes you need to be able to extract your video files from the theatre.
It's actually really easy because the iMovie Theatre isn't really a file, it's a special kind of container folder that Mac OS X recognises as being an iMovie Theatre. So all you have to do is open that container folder in Finder and you can browse it like any other folder. Here is how to do it!
