Dr. J's Guide to Partitions
Jarad Niemi
Dr. J introduces the following properties of a collection of sets: disjoint, pairwise disjoint, and partition. Two sets are disjoint if their intersection is the empty set. A collection of sets are pairwise disjoint if every pair of sets in the collection are disjoint. A collection of sets are a partition of another set S if the collection is pairwise disjoint and the union of the sets in the collection is the set S.
