Correspondence between pvalues and confidence intervals
Jarad Niemi
If a pvalue is less than a given significance level than the confidence interval constructed with confidence level equal to one minus the significance level will not contain the value for the parameter in the null hypothesis. If the pvalue is greater than the significance level then the confidence level constructed with confidence level equal to one minus the significance level will contain the value for the parameter.
