GM Low Power Mode, Limp Mode, Saturn Ion, Cobalt
Brian Stapleton
If you are getting a GM low power mode or limp mode error on your GM car, try this. Before spending big bucks on a throttle body position sensor, (aka gas pedal), or a throttle body, try this. Simply cleaning a connector located behind the lower left kick panel could save you hundreds. This problem is very common in the Saturn Ion, Saturn Vue, Chevy Cobalt, Pontiac g5, Buick Regal and many other GM cars. This usually gives you a P0122, Throttle Body Position Sensor or a P0221 Throttle Body error code
If this does not fix your problem, try these videos before spending money on parts. There are few guys who have made very good videos on some of the mechanical causes of this problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55rYI2cuuM4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5BEPmFB6cw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8xfyvdG7P8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eixcNQntfoI ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODx0kYybXOw
