The 7th Guest unboxing by Trilobyte Games 1993

In this video I'm showcasing my complete in box copy of The 7th Guest that I've owned since it came out in April 1993. I'll also discuss some historical information about the game as well.

The 7th Guest is an interactive movie PC puzzle adventure game, produced by Trilobyte and originally released by Virgin Interactive Entertainment in April 1993. It's one of the first computer video games to be released only on CD-ROM.

Trilobyte was founded in December 1990 in Medford, Oregon by Graeme Devine and Rob Landeros. Together, they designed the original concept of the 1992 puzzle game The 7th Guest.

Graeme was the lead programmer on the game and on its sequel The 11th Hour. The 7th Guest sold 2 million copies, and is credited (along with the game Myst) with encouraging the use of CD-ROM drives for games.

Fun fact: The house used for inspiration to create Henry Stauf's mansion is the Nunan Estate located in Jacksonville, Oregon.
