Amstrad PCW 8256 Computer - Part 2: Gotek Installation

#Amstrad #PCW8256 #1985Computer This is part 2 in my Amstrad PCW series featuring my vintage 1985 Amstrad PCW8256 Z80 based computer that uses the CP/M operating system.
In this second part I open up the machine, remove the original 3" micro floppy drive, then install a GoTek drive. Of course I boot up the computer using CP/M Plus off the USB drive, then load and run the Amstrad PCW game Batman by Ocean software.
As good measure, I also document the monitor tube information for if/when it might need repair or replacement.

Something to note, I did do the memory upgrade from 256kb to 512kb, however I brain farted on recording that footage. With a stock Amstrad PCW8256 the CP/M Plus boot screen would read:
v 1.4, 61K IPA, 1 disc drive, 112K drive M:
As you'll see in my video when I test everything out, it now shows:
v 1.4, 61K IPA, 1 disc drive, 368K drive M:
The "M" drive seen in the CP/M boot screen is a RAM drive for the Amstrad, so increasing the machines RAM gives you a bigger RAM drive which is awesome!
