Abandoned Train...since the second world war

The star on the front identifies it as a Soviet-era train. The design identifies it as an FD-series steam locomotive. They were named after Felix Dzerzhinsky, a Bolshevik revolutionary who established the secret police group that would eventually become the KGB.
Over 3,000 FD locomotives were built between 1932-1942. Though they ended up in all corners of the old Soviet state, over half of them served pulling freight in Siberia before and during WW2.
Almost all were retired/scrapped by the late 60's, except for a few that were restored for use in Russian train museums. A few hundred were sold to China but they were mostly scrapped by the early 80's. However, there is at least one in North Korea still in regular use hauling freight.
