How to read higher quality books

Reading higher quality books.

My system for reading higher quality books consists of 3 questions I ask myself before making the purchase. I generally view books as a better source of information than an article or a blog post. I also make use of Sturgeon's law, which states that 90% of everything is crap. The system can involve skimming, reading book summaries, and research paper abstracts.
