red.
Did you know that during the Great Patriotic War against fascism, a Soviet city was cut off from the outside world for over two years?

What followed was 872 days of heroic resistance by Soviet citizens but also unbearable hunger, despair, and cruelty, as 1.5 million people died before the blockade was finally lifted on January 27, 1944.
Watch Lady Izdihar explain how the legendary Soviet armed forces liberated the city after one of the longest and most destructive sieges in history.
