SG2D: NetworkEditor: 2015-04-02 (early alpha)
Simon Pugnet
This is a video of an early alpha version of a tool that I'm developing for my undergraduate dissertation. The idea of the tool is to allow designers (non-programmers) and programmers to collaborate on video game development. The tool shown here allows a non-programmer to build game logic which then generates script which can be used directly by the engine. This script can of course then be further modified and fine-tuned by a programmer.
It is of course at a very early stage, and I have some more ideas to make the tool more useful in the future, but this video represents the first version which is actually usable and mildly useful.
Thanks for watching; if you'd like any further information on this project (and others), please check my website (http://www.polaris64.net/blog/dissertation) and feel free to contact me. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4rgTLCJz98
