"Maze Game": 2015-03-19 (early alpha)
Simon Pugnet
Salutations! Well, here's another game project that I'm working on at the moment, this time a mobile game using Epic Games' new Unreal Engine 4.
The game is a top-down maze game intended to be played on phones and tablets (iOS and Android). The player must navigate a maze collecting keys in order to unlock the exit. But there are "statues" with terrifying electric zapping powers! Mwahaha! Oh, and they tend to chase you when you're not looking...
The most complex part of this project so far was the lack of dynamic lighting on UE4's mobile forward rendering pipeline. The lighting that you see in this video has had to be created using custom shaders. While not perfect it serves its purpose, but I'm looking forward to pull dynamic lighting support in UE4 mobile soon!
Thanks for watching, stay tuned for updates ad the game progresses. Oh, and why not check out my site, http://www.polaris64.net ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bz3OKJ2fEk
