playing with a really cheap camera
pileofstuff
Ok, I've had a few days to mess around with the cheap SQ8 video camera and here's some rambling thoughts about it.
It's actually pretty decent for the price.
Speaking of the price, the one I bought, when I bought it was actually $8.75 Canadian. I know I kept calling it an $8 camera, hopefully no one feels the need to bust me for rounding down. And i also know that now it is going for somewhere around $11-12 Canadian. It's still an adequate camera at that price point for the applications it is good at.
Here's the mailbag video where I first received this camera#10 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnNoId47GOM .
And here's a bit more train cam footage, for those who can't get enough of that sort of thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUg8t3wJm7w
If anyone has any questions I didn't answer, feel free to ask in the comments.
Edit: apparently YouTube thinks my language is not safe for their advertiser's delicate ears... In other news, did you know I have a Patreon link at the bottom of the description box on all of my videos?
As with all of my videos, this isn't the only way to do it. It's probably not the best way to do it.
But it's how I do it.
