First look: DMX512 LED strip controller

Today I'm exploring the SP201 DMX512 to LED strip controller.

I wasn't able to find a lot of information about this thing online, and the "manual" that comes with it leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully my explorations can be helpful to someone who gets their hands on one in the future.

It can control several types of addressable LEDs (including the common WS2812/2812 types) as well as acting as a 5 channel PWM dimmer for standard LEDs and stips.
