Automated camera arm. 3rd time is the charm!
pileofstuff
Today I'm revisiting an old project for the 3rd (and hopefully final) time. This is my overhead camera mover arm thing.
First video: https://youtu.be/R5MEBZYgvk8 second attempt: https://youtu.be/-pzL2prp8e8
By the end of this, I have a working and quite usable way to slowly and automatically move a small camera above my work bench. Hopefully this will help keep the videos more visually interesting, while reducing my distractions and allowing me to remain focused on the actual task on my work bench.
Here's the website for Silent Control Boards, if you are interested in learning more about the stepper motor controller I used: https://silentcontrolboards.com/ Thanks Ken for sending me this one to explore and experiment with.

This isn't the only way to do it. It's probably not the best way to do it. But it's how I did it. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bt3LaoRLtI
