It feels like its a common misconception among beginner programmers that comments improve the readability of your code when in actual fact they do the exact opposite. When comments are used too frequently they actually make code harder to maintain and noisier.
If you feel you have to leave a comment on anything other than weird business logic you should maybe look at doing thing in a different way.
