The Slow Death of the BIOS - Does it Actually Matter?

The BIOS is dead, Long Live UEFI! The situation is a bit more complex though. The BIOS lives on in the form of Legacy support in many UEFI firmware installations. But this may well come to an end in the near future, and bring the slow death of the bios to a conclusion.
