Salient OS - An Arch Distro for Gamers and Multi-Media Enthusiasts

Salient OS has been around for a while but for some reason it seems to have passed me by. I've no idea why because it's a distro that would always have appealed to me, and in this video that's been confirmed.

Developed in the United Kingdom by Silent Robot (who also worked with Ben Fitzpatrick on Storm OS), it's an easy Arch based distro that uses the Calamares installer and allows you to customise the package selection during installation.

It comes with Steam and Lutris fully configured out of the box and if you like dark themes, which I do, you will love the look and feel.

This is a quick look at the XFCE variant and I'm impressed. My first impression is that this is a little gem. I'm going to put that gut feeling to the test by installing it on hardware and living with it for a few months, which isn't something I would normally do. That gives you an idea of what a great first impression this distro gave.
