As you can tell from the title, Makulu claim that their 'Shift' Linux distro is a world first!

By this they mean that they days of installing or even choosing a desktop environment are over. You simply install this distro and transform it into whatever environment you want with the click of a button.

It's a clever idea and one that has clearly involved a great deal of work. But does it do what it says on the tin?

This quick look at the distro explores just how transformational it actually is.
