Programming in BASIC on the Color Computer Fonts and Graphics Demo Update
ogStevieStrow
My latest entry in the Programming in BASIC on the Color Computer brings closure to a font routine I had been working on for a few weeks now, from designing the fonts on paper, to drafting them in the CoCo with the DRAW command, to tweaking the spacing and positioning of each letter, to writing a routine to convert a text string into graphics, well, it's all done now.
I took the routine and merged it with my graphics demo, creating graphics demo 1.3, and that demo now provides two types of graphical text messages on screen, on that either just says "Graphics Demo" or the other, which will display up to 8 random letters on screen.
It's putting all the pieces together and placing me in a position to move on to the next chapter, as well as have some code I can use in future programs.
This will be the first video and first time that I also make the disk image available, so anybody wanting to see the code, look at the demo, and play with these fonts, knock yourself out, they will be available at the blog on my website, http://ogsteviestrow.com
