𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍 - In this tutorial, I'll show you how to install on Linux (Debian and Fedora) and configure the environment variables for Intel's new compiler for the Fortran language, ifx (2024, 2nd semester). The old ifort compiler is deprecated, Intel recommends the use of ifx, which in addition to being more modern brings with it optimizations for CPUs and GPUs, in addition to support for new processor instructions. This compiler is provided along with Intel's OneAPI suite that also includes the MKL library, which contains the Lapack library, widely used for linear algebra calculations, such as matrix diagonalization.
