In 1957, Florence and John Pollock lived in Hexham, England with their two daughters, Johanna and Jacqueline. They were best friends and would do anything to make each other laugh. One day they were walking to church with a friend and they were hit by a car. None of the children survived. Florence and John described the months after as a waking nightmare. They even had to move out of town. There were too many reminders of what they lost. It was just too painful... but they were about to receive a gift. Some say it was a gift from God Himself. Florence was pregnant with twins. They brought Gillian and Jennifer into the world.

As the girls grew, Florence and John started noticing strange coincidences. Gillian and Jennifer had the same birthmarks in the same places as Johanna and Jacqueline. Despite them being twins, Gillian took on the role of an older sister to Jennifer. Florence found the girls laying on the ground and heard Gillian say “The blood’s coming out of your eyes. That’s where the car hit you.” The family moved back to Hexham and the girls knew the names of the neighbors, the parks and places Jaqueline and Johanna used to like, and they even knew the spot where they died. They were also terribly afraid of cars and would run and scream when one passed. When the girls were around 5 years old, these memories started to fade and Gillian and Jennifer grew up and lived normal lives of their own.
