Build your own custom packages for Arch Linux to take full control!
Nice Micro
In this video, we are going through the basics of packaging software, themes, or basically anything for Arch Linux. If you make a package, you can put your files to use system-wide, without having to manually copy them to system directories. Pacman will keep track of every file, making uninstalling or even sharing them over multiple systems easy.
If you plan to share your packages with others, consider the AUR guidelines, too.
To make your own packages, read up first on the Arch wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Creating_packages https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_package_guidelines https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PKGBUILD https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Makepkg
