What is LBC? [A “Security” or A Functional Cryptocurrency?]

The LBRY blockchain is an important invention & tool for humanity. Recently it was announced that the US Government (SEC) is attempting to sue LBRY.inc (the company that developed the LBRY protocol), for the nonsensical allegation that all distributions of LBRY Credits by LBRY Inc are “unregistered securities offerings”. There’s no victim, and the SEC is not alleging fraud, nor charging any individual at LBRY.inc company. This claim is a tremendous threat to the entire cryptocurrency industry and technical innovation.

The LBRY network is decentralized and not at risk. For users of the LBRY protocol and apps, channels, content, and token holdings are not at risk. Even in an unlikely scenario in which LBRY Inc loses, the LBRY protocol will live on, and work on it will continue. Regardless of the outcome, LBC will remain yours and remain usable.
