Michael Hermes' passionate and adventurous musical style—instrumental progressive rock—can ultimately be defined as a cross between Steven Wilson and Guthrie Govan. Hermes was born deaf, in which he had to use sign language during his early years. When his hearing problems began to fade away, he demonstrated a significant passion for unique kinds of music, specifically film soundtracks and guitar-centric arrangements. Given that Michael Hermes is currently 18 years old, he has been playing guitar for 13 years, starting at the age of 6. His latest EP, 'Hit the Eyes', was released last February and was played, produced, mixed and mastered by himself. Stream it on Spotify now for free.
