Well, this is part 3 where I show what I have done to upgrade my main feeder and show the results on tests before and after the upgrade. The details are below:

Final results to the main feeder where I swapped out the SDR Blog USB dongle (no LNA fitted) and the 10 meter coax cable. They were replaced with a 10 meter active USB cable, the Flight Aware Pro Plus USB dongle was installed very close to the antenna, (Actually within the pole as was all of the cabling) along with 10 feet extension to the Antenna pole. Data was captured over 2 day (Weekday) blocks to show before and after results. The results for each block were averaged (Day1+Day2/2 for each data set) A longer data capture period would have been better though.

Before upgrade: Aircraft seen: 1927 Max distance: 233nm Positions reported: 399570 Hits reported: 8090505

After upgrade: Aircrafts seen: 2156 Max distance: 247nm Positions reported: 564746 Hits reported: 1087017

Percentage gain after upgrades Aircraft seen: 11.88% Max distance: 6.01% Positions reported 41.34 Hits reported: 34.36%

Things to come. I may look at seeing how a Raspberry Pi Zero W responds. It would certainly be a cheaper way to make a feeder.
