Improper Integrals: Type 2: Discontinuous Integrands

In this video I go over the Type 2 Improper Integrals, which is the case when there are discontinuities in the integrand (i.e. the function being integrated). Basically, the only difference between the Type 1 and Type 2 improper integrals is that we are dealing with an infinite horizontal region in Type 1, and an infinite vertical region in Type 2. The discontinuities in Type 2 improper integrals arise from a vertical asymptote and like the Type 1 case, we can define the improper integral as a limit of a definite integral. If this definite integral converges to a number, then the integral is convergent otherwise it is said to be divergent and the limit does not exist.
