How to Edit a Record in a File With Visual Basic

Greetings, in this video editing a record in a text or CSV file, is covered. Editing a record is similar to deleting a record. An edit term is what a record needs to contain in order for the app to know which record to edit. A temp file is created and a reference to the existing file is also created. We loop through the file in the same way we do when we read records, however, we write each record we read to the temp file unless it contains the edit term. If the current record we are looking at contains the edit term, instead of writing the record to the temp file. After we have looped through the whole file, the old file is deleted and the temp file is renamed to the old file. Thanks for watching!
