How to Duplicate a Scene in Unity

Greetings, in this Unity tutorial we shall be looking at how to duplicate a unity scene. Duplicating a scene in Unity is quick and easy. Just select the scene you wish to copy and paste. You can select the scene you wish to duplicate by clicking on the scene in the Unity editor.

After selecting the scene, press the CTRL key and the D key at the same time. On Mac OS you can use the command key and the D key. After you press both keys at the same time, a copy of the scene you want to duplicate will appear.

That is how you copy and paste / duplicate an entire scene in Unity! Now you can change this new scene and continue developing your game. This new scene is an independant copy, so changes you make in this new unity scene won't change the original unity scene.

We are duplicating the unity scene by copy, not by reference. The new scene will be a distinct asset.
