Greetings in this Google Drive tutorial we shall be looking at how to copy text from view only and protected Google Slides. This tutorial is great for if you have view only access to a Google Slides file but want to copy the text in the Google Slide so you copy the text from the Google Slide document.

This Google Slides tutorial will show you how to copy text from a view only Google Slide from Google Drive.

The first step is to open up the Google Slide file in your web browser. The next step is to edit the url. Replace the ending that has edit followed by some other characters with the following:

htmlpresent

It doesn't matter what slide of the google slides file you are viewing when you edit the url.

Once you have edited the url, press the enter key. Now you will be taken to a html present view of the Google Slide file. The next step is to disable Javascript in your web browser. I am using Google Chrome but you can do this in Firefox or Edge, it is just that disabling Javascript is done differently on those web browsers.

After you have disabled Javascript on your web browser, refresh the page. After that you will be able to highlight and copy text on the view only or protected Google Slide, like you can elsewhere.

That is all you need to do to copy text from a view only Google Slide.
