Are you looking for a Stephen Hawking -ish text synth; something that will say whatever you type...and then record it in your DAW like Logic or LIve. Look no further... I will show you how to use Mac OS X's Text to Speech and record into Logic Pro X or Ableton Live with SoundFlower.
Warning this will not work unless you set SoundFlower in the output of your system / system preferences / sound, and also set it as the input device in Logic or Ableton Live.
Set a custom key command for your Mac to speak the words
- Open System Preferences
- Click the ‘Speech’ button
- Choose ‘Text to Speech’
- Tick ‘Speak selected text when key is pressed’ ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w58w-lvePw
