Propellerheads Reason 9.5 Sucks | Logic Pro X Wins - "Sarcasm Implied"
LogicProHacks
I created this video to show some cool sounds I made in Reason and to show my Logic friends the MIDI and workflow in Reason is not so good. I also named the title 'Reason Sucks' to prove a point that any type of comment or dislike is good for business. That said, Thank you for the comment and your dislike, keep it coming! And if you're so sure about how you feel, then provide evidence to back up your claim.
The general census is Reason is not for everyone: It is for people who understand and have experience with real machines, samplers, synths, mixers etc.. The main idea was to emulate the real behaviors and functions of real machines. I have been using Reason Before it was called Reason when it just a Hodge podge code called ReBirth RB-338 (1996). ReBirth was designed to emulate two Roland TB-303 synthesizers, a Roland TR-808, and a Roland TR-909 drum machine. IMO, a fantastic app and if you can find one, it sounds just as good as the real deal.
Later on Propellerheads studio started to develop "Reason" based on same ideology as reBirth, released in 2000, but at the time the biggest flaw in Reason is the inability to record audio; and it was very harsh to work in its Sequencer.
I could not stand Reason, for that reason and I found and switched to Logic Pro, which I found to be better in its MIDI workflow. Logic is faster and easier to navigate through the Editors, excellent for writing/composing.
However, Logic Pro can be a little "harsh" sounding but is still great to compose and write notes in Reason is still great to spin off some ideas and to create some interesting sounds with its combinators, especially now, with the new VST support.
