The premise behind Stranded Deep is that your plane crashes next to an island and it is your goal to use the basic and raw materials around you in order to make something more useful.

One of the first things that you do when you find an island on Stranded Deep is start to gather materials. You start with nothing but a water bottle, a knife, a lighter. You can chop down trees, collect rocks, make crude axes and hammers.

Eventually, you can build yourself shelter, rig up a boat, and much more. One of the most common ways of getting food is by attacking fish with spears, or finding crabs or coconuts for sustenance. Stranded Deep is early access and very much in an "Alpha" state right now: Stranded Deep is incomplete and there are many features which are missing from it.
