The Extended Workbench Mod for 1.7.2 makes your mining much easier, and enjoyable. The Extended Workbench Mod adds tools (like pickaxes, axes, hoes, shovel, swords, etc), armor pieces, and miscellaneous items that have useful bonuses.

The Extended Workbench Mod Tools include: ►The Extended Pickaxe ►The Extended Shovel ►The Extended Axe ►The Extended Hoe ►The Extended Sword

These Extended Tools provide you with double the durability of their normal counterparts, mine blocks 100% faster, can reach 50% further. The Extended Hoe creates farmland that takes much longer to turn back into dirt.

The Extended armors absorb a lot more damage and lasts 50% longer. The extended bow shoots 50% faster, has 50% more durability, but needs 20% longer to charge. The extended fishing rod catches fish 20% faster, has 50% more durability, throws the hook 50% faster, and has a 50% chance of turning raw fish into cooked fish, when caught.

There are other useful tools like the extended shear that shear 50% faster, have more durability, and give 100% more drops from things like sheep.
