Revolutionize Your Linux Experience: CuauhtliOS - bspwm setup with dzen2 Status Bar🐧🖥️
def main(jr_dev):
In this video, I showcase the progress I've made with my custom status bar using dzen2 as part of my new tiling window manager environment, CuauhtliOS. CuauhtliOS, meaning "eagle" in Nahuatl, represents soaring heights and versatility, designed to work with any Linux distribution.
Key Features: Arch Linux Icon linked to jgmenu for quick application access. Layout Icon for choosing different tiling window manager layouts with dmenu. PDF Icon for easy access to all PDF files. Desktop Names with color-coded indications for active, occupied, and free desktops. Window Titles displayed using xtitle. Calendar Icon that opens gsimplecal. Datetime Display for the current date and time. System Tray using stalonetray for system icons. Future Plans: I'm planning many more features and improvements for CuauhtliOS and the dzen2 status bar. While limited documentation poses a challenge, tools like ChatGPT have been invaluable in this journey. Stay tuned for updates on new features, color schemes, and more!
